The Snow Globe

It’s cold inside this world

I don’t know how much more I can take

Everyone’s eyes are focused in on me

All of my surroundings are fake

 

My life is turned upside down

When God decides to shake

 Up my world, solar whirl

 Causing blizzards and quakes

 

There’s a better place out there

So close, but yet so far away

Suffocating in this dome- alone

I know that I must escape

 

Should I beg for my freedom?

It doesn’t really hurt to ask…

The moment I get up the courage

I hear God tapping on the glass…

:) Hmm...why beg? No need for doubt or to fear God. God gave us life knowing we will find a way, but if we stray by following others crooked ways we lose sight of our purpose. Well done. I think a lot of people feel this way-kind of detached from their surroundings, which makes everything seem fake.People often feel disconnected from one another and that life is a series of unfortunate circumstances.I like your poem. I know that God does tap on the glass to get our attention sometimes....but i do not blame God for every bad thing that happens on this planet. This is a fallen world in which we live.But many people do, and will relate to the feeling of powerlessness that life can bring.
