It’s All a Hustle

 

You’ve been had!

You’ve been took!

You’ve been hoodwinked!

Bamboozled!!!

Led astray!

Run a muck!!!

Stuck!

Down in the dumps!

No way out!

Straight up-

Out of luck!

 

You fell for the scam

You’re just a pawn in the scheme

You’re no longer a man

You’re a slave to the machine

 

Held captive by banks and big business

Chained to the American Dream

Withering away for imaginary wealth

A faithful fiend for the green

 

Putting your conscience up for collateral

And your life on ‘Lay-away’

Buying your soul back with credit

So you can loan it out, on a rainy day

 

Instead of overthrowing the tables

Of all the moneychangers

We enable their behavior

And hold them as our saviors  

 

The same ones who profit from war

The ones that keep the prisons full

They manipulate the history books

They make the laws, and then bend the rules

 

They may send you to the finest schools

But you don’t find out- until after admission

That your degree doesn’t guarantee a job

That pays enough -to pay off your tuition

 

Paying into social security

As they chip away at your 401k

Death by taxation

The Federal Reserve dug your grave

 

Tel-Evangelists promising salvation

Just call in now, and give a donation

 

The Pope’s thrown of gold

Could feed a starving nation

But pointing that out

 Is a risk of damnation

 

The war on drugs

The war on terror

The war on race

The war on my mind, my time

And my personal space

 

Old rich men

Sending young impoverished men

 To fight

And die

Giving no good reason

Just lie

After lie

 

We are Number 1!

And no one can change our minds!

But in reality, this great country of ours

Is gravely in decline

America’s chickens are coming home to roost!

A few feathers need to be ruffled

Silenced…

- Are those who speak the truth

….Killed,

             Cut down,

                               And muzzled

 

Shout out to all who are

 In the mist of the struggle

Spread the word

To those who haven’t heard…

That it’s all just a hustle
