Delve Deep

I stand at the top of the ravine of

Optimism, anticipation, and unsubstantiated wishes.

I want to leap and delve deep into the waters of passion

Forbidden passion.

However it is much too intense, too soon.

It is an unknown abyss filled with an air of stifling desire.

The air is resistant.

I want to float selflessly.

Embracing what I cannot

The molecules of love encompass my desires

And gives life to the breath that keeps my soul from suffocating.

Air and water cannot combine as elements

Two spirits whose characteristics are such cannot intertwine.

Air and water give life

Your breath is the air which

Ignites this passion

You incite me with the fuel of reciprocated allure

Kindling an uncontrolled fire that brings death.

As I drown in the waters of passion.
