Desert Raven aka The Phoenix

Desert Raven aka The Phoenix

A Poem by desertraven

DESERT RAVEN aka THE PHOENIX

Old life

littered with strife

up in flames,

the memories

and names...

Burning

blazing

scorching

melting

incinerating

Burned

blackened

cremated

extinguished

No need for

an alibi

nothing left

to identify

no reason left

to cry

He took all my cash

and my black sash

nothing left to bash

nothing but ash

From the ashes

I rise anew

better

stronger

smarter...
