EPITAPH FOR A. J. C

EPITAPH FOR A. J. C

A Poem by ShahW1
"

Wrote this for prompt challenge - prompt: Epitaph of a loved one.

"

Here lies a floundering slouch who resisted life, but given the chance, he’d do it all again.

“My ashes sit beneath the surface,

should you come to

call.

Don’t bring me flowers,

I never much liked the smell of

life.

But bring poetry & opiates; the sweetest

peace, and by all means,

stay a while.”
