The world is getting colder
Darker, perilous, older
I've been blinded, I can't see
what terrible sadness weakens me

Your heart so close to me
And yet so far
Sometimes I feel I don't
Even know who you are

You know I love you
And you love me too
And I know this kills you inside
It can't kill me, I was never alive

I say that I miss you
But that's basically a lie
It's a ridiculous understatement
For you are sustaining my life
