You Beliefs Died With Me

You Beliefs Died With Me

A Poem by writerofshadows

Why do your tears fall for me
Why do you mourn my passing
Your beliefs tell you
I am going to a better place
Somewhere you will join me
In a time far from now
Those tears are your bleeding faith
Your trust in your higher power
Is now pouring out
Onto my cold, pale face
Amazing how fragile a belief is
Once challenged directly
