Void

Void

A Poem by writerofshadows

There is an emptiness in me
A vacuum that needs to be filled
If there is not enough light
To fill this nothingness
Then the darkness
Will gladly oblige
There is more than enough
To fill up this hollow shell
And burst its seams
And shatter its being
And engolf its fragments
Until it is completely forgotten
Luckily
It takes a lot less light
A lot less warmth
A lot less love
To keep a world
Of darkness at bay
In fact
It takes just one person
To warm this hollow shell

Enjoyed this poem...you begin with the feelings of emptiness and being void, but end with telling the reader it only takes one person to warm the hallow shell. Holly
