Time is all it takes

each morning a new sun

opening my eyes like a rooster crow

i don't know how today will be

but as long as i smile it can make it

sometimes its hard to get out of bed

sometimes its hard to smile

but its okay because not everyday will be like this

one day i'll wake up and see

i'll fall asleep crying tossing and turning

under the covers with my hot breath

my eyes will ache from the tears

and my nose will be running

but in the morning my tears will be gone

my nose will no longer be wet

i will feel the air on my face 

and ill wake to the morning light
