We All Fall Down

We All Fall Down

A Poem by Jennifer Warnock

No matter how tall we stand,

no matter how bold we are,

no matter how much courage we have,

we all fall down.

It doesn't matter what we face

or who we are.

If we're rich

or if we're poor.

Doesn't matter the obstacles we face

because in the end we all fall down.

All the fears you get

all the dreams you demons you face.

The thing you look forward to,

the battles you fight;

it's all a part of life.

The problems you solve,

the life we create,

the choices we make

and in the end

we all fall down.

The things you change,

the impact you make on others,

the love you give

and the difference you can make.

We all have regrets.

We all have good times

and bad times,

but in the end

we all fall down.

It doesn't matter how hard we try

the truth is we all have our weaknesses.

The world can be a dark place,

you can try to shine alight on it,

but it'll only take you so far

and change only so little.

In the end we all fall down.

But if we all fall down, let us not forget to stand up again... if it takes a 100 fall, then it should also take 100 times to stand up.
