A poem regarding cruelty on animals.

DON'T WE DESERVE TO LIVE

Millions are spent to save your own
What about us? Why are we left to die
Why are we the one who silently moan
To your own children, why do you lie
You lie that humans are different
They have intelligence,kindness,empathy
Why do you humans call yourself that
when you don't even have humanity
How will your young one's know
What to speak against, what to believe
How the heck will they come to know
We too like you deserve to live
You kill our young ones
and live a sorrowful disgust for you
We are intimidated and we are weak
but we can't do anything but curse you
You kill us for our skins, our organs our tails
You kill us for your entertainment and
to have our feather on your flails
You don't truly know how hurt are we
You truly don't understand the pangs of pain
But we know your egoistic mind is so full of it
Our teachings to you are going to go in vain
You and us aren't too different you know
We both are children of god, we all have goals to achieve
Then why oh why you humans Why don't you understand
We too like you deserve to live
Mother nature is suffering so much because of you
Just because she is unjust, she has her resources for all
But you don't respect her, you are going stripping her down
Just because you can make polluting companies or just a mall
Question yourself you morons, question in the faith you belive
Ask yourself don't we too like you deserve to live

I wrote this poem because of many stories that I recently read on the cruelty towards animals. And unlike us these frail creatures don't know how to speak for themselves. Like us they too deserve freedom, freedom to live. Do tell me your opinions in the reviews.

I appreciate the thought that has gone into this poem. The empathy and regret felt for man's fellow creatures on earth. I also like effort you put into the rhyming. All in all, a good poem Shubham.

I like to hope that we are becoming more environment conscious and that we'll see positive changes soon.

The poem tells a lot so does the image. Nice effort to convey the message, also very well crafted poem.

I agree with your message & I admire the way you include a ton of details, all from the animal’s point of view. I am often disgusted by humans who think we are the wisest creature on the planet, but we have to do high-priced studies to figure out that animals have communication, even tho they don’t speak words the way we do. Anyone living around animals already knows they speak better than we do. You do a great job of conveying the sadness & intensity of how it must be to live the life of animals who are being abused or neglected. The only thing I might have added is some mention of the core cause for animal over-population – not spaying or neutering our pets. It’s always good to remind people that having puppies or kitties is human selfishness. We want the cuteness of young pets, but when they grow up, they are thrown away to shelters. Other than that one point I would make, everything else is strongly stated in truth (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

What you write about is, on the surface, sympathetic and identifiable. But it's not based in reality. The freedom to live is not free beyond a sheltered pet life (which I argue isn't really living, it's domestication and not at all free). If it was easy we'd all just be non competitive rocks forever static with no chance of attaining higher brain function or any chance of ever understanding the broader nature of this universe that surrounds us. Do you really think "mother nature" is a kind and friendly thing? That's naïve at best, delusional at worst. 98+% of all species that ever existed on this planet are extinct - welcome to evolution, it's violent and unforgiving and you wouldn't be here without it. Torturing animals is immoral... but using other animals for survival and progression is the primary reason we humans became the dominant species on this planet. Life is not supposed to be easy, life feeds on life (plants are living things too). What is weak, over time will always die off... regardless of your sympathies or wishful thinking - that's just how nature works. If the weak didn't eventually parish and remove it's genes from the gene pool life would eventually become so fragile that it would eventually go extinct all together... how exactly do you think we got to this point? (spoiler alert - it wasn't pretty, there was a lot of killing and eating).

There will be another mass extinction event, one day our species will struggle to survive day to day; it's only a matter of time. Count yourself lucky we live in between those times in a time of relative comfort.

It's a pretty well written poem but your message is sophomorically idealistic to the point of absurdity.

The whole concept behind this poem was the best among all your writings that i have read..I agree with you ...Today humans are not living rather those who are living have got only the ability to breathe ...People of today they are not having any emotions and they think that they alone have got the right to live..A human is the one who has humanity and today humans are no more humane..Though this innocent animals have not got any way to tell the pain , the agony that they are suffering but if we humans keep on doing like this then the end of our human civilisation is not too far...We need to understand that as we have feelings , this innocent creatures also have..They also feel pain as we feel..I am glad that you wrote on such a topic..And yes i do believe that every creature has got the right to live and we are noone to snatch it from anyone..
I want to salute you for your ideas..
But now coming to your writing style somewhere i felt that the poem could have been more strong , more thought provoking and more powerful if you would have done some things like you should have distributed it in paras so that the reader would have felt it more interesting and your poem doesn't has a definite rhyming scheme but that is okay ...I felt that somewhere you need to improve your writing style..
But i felt while reading poem that you poured your soul out and you wrote everything from your heart..And that was really good
Good job..
Keep on writing..
