Sleight of Heart

Sleight of Heart

A Poem by Siddhartha

Beaten tracks, proud stars
The train beats a valiant path
I stand at the doorway, book in hand
Icy winds kiss with feverish desire
A winter hope lingers in the air
Dreamers us all; rebels without a care

This moment will die soon after
Burned to ashes in time's blinding fires
But to soak in now in drizzles of love
To let go of this autumn of despair

And...
Come tomorrow, the universe could conspire
To get me that, which my heart so desires
