Sorcery

Sorcery

A Poem by Siddhartha

If you found the wind's lair
Stardust resting in its wild
Searched for the devil's sight
Sucked marrow off the night
Wait a while
One, two
Three…
Clasp fireflies blazing the night

If you saw the strange shows
Of pride, envy, devout deceit
Blind hatred, cruel might
Breaths of night,
fraught with fright
Take a step back
Rest
And raise a rant
Of what is wrong
What are we; what is right

If you took lost roads
Fought dirt, mossy undergrowth
Caught footprints of a forgotten hike
Saw the light retreat as night spiked
Breathe
Close your eyes
Let solitude fight Being
Lose your self
In order you may win

Time is a box of moon specks
Slipping off its sides
Onto lives, and lifetimes
Catch one, hold it tight
Let it burn you bright
Make you shine
After all...
Not everyone finds -
He has conquered time
