Masterpiece

Masterpiece

A Poem by Siddhartha

And I shall write a masterpiece tonight -
It shall be for You; for You; and only for You,
And it shall have the Sun, the Stars, and the Moon,
And the Seas, the Fairies; Magic and Music,
Part of it be fantasy, but all of it will be true.

For faraway in a land untouched by lies -
Where the days are golden, and nights silver;
Where the unblemished moonbeam,
Lights up the evening dew in splendor.
Where the first ray of dawn,
Falls on the lovesick butterfly, and it flutters.

I will fly you there, on a cloud of dreams,
The morning winds shall be our guide,
The eve' drizzle shall hasten our flight,
And as the shy night yields to light,
We shall reach sun-kissed and bright.

And therein we shall spend our lives,
In a moment wrapped in eternity,
Wherein I shall write masterpieces,
Ceaselessly, every day and every night,
For you…
Who speaks with grace, and walks on light.
