A Poem by Siddhartha

At dawn

Joe and Jane started on

Joe did what he was expected to

Jane what she wanted to

At dusk...

Joe's abroad and is wealthy too

Gets on with the day

Cribs about life, and fights with his wife

Jane's found a cocoon of her own

Where the nights are silver and days are gold

Happy with the harvest of whatever she had sown

She is ecstatic that she didn't do what she was told
