Nature Reawakening

Nature Reawakening

A Poem by Justin Tobey

The sky lights up

as nature reawakens.

Countless hues glide across the sky

and paint the wet pavement

in dappled iridescence.

Droplets of water

hang like crystals

and shine like stars.

The living world rejoices

in the singing of birds

and the bright green grass.

All things unleash their vibrancy,

and the world opens its eyes once more

to the wild beauty of life

and the energy of song.

After the oppressing grey cloak of rain,

Clarity and light illuminate the earth.

Opposites reconcile, if only for a while:

Stillness and Motion,

Silence and Song,

Ferocity and Serenity.

The senses tingle

at the reawakened depth

and potential in all things.

Beautiful. I loveeee the imagery most of all.
This has the power to calm people who can
envision the scene. One can almost smell
how fresh the air would be here...
