You said you loved me

I knew that it was true

We had something special

Between just me and you.

 

We kept moving forward

And we didn’t look back

Our love dept on growing

‘Cause we were on the right track.

 

But now things have changed

And as I look around

The love that we once shared

Is nowhere to be found.

 

You said you loved me

I guess it wasn’t true

Now there’s nothing left to say

Except that now, we’re through.

Nice write. Simple. Sweet. I can relate. It's hard getting over someone who meant so much. Forgetting isn't as easy we want it to be, is it?? Nice poem. I nejoyed reading it.
