Monday ... Again

It is tough when we live it ... But looking at it from the outside look, it brings a certain ... Joy.

Safe

Serene

Never in harm

Happy

Calm

‘Til off goes the alarm

You reach to push the button

To make the sound stop

While you remain in your warm bed

With the covers on top

You peek at the sunlight

And sneer at the time

You know you must arise

Though you feel in a field you are a mine

So you crawl out of bed

As you argue with the light

You find a pair of jeans

Then begins the fight

You run to the kitchen

Aware you are late

You grab a bowl of cereal

With only time for one bite

Out the door you rush

Slamming it behind you

Out beneath the sky

So fabulously blue

But no time to gawk

For the bus will soon leave

Making it just in time

As the driver gives the door a heave

You’re off to school

For once again it is the day

Every child cannot stand

Another Monday

                  …Again.
