When The Moon Was Blue.

When The Moon Was Blue.

A Poem by Simran Kewlani
"

Artificial is the new trend.

"
She was a freak,
As thin as the trunk of the teak,
Not at all weak,
Seeked for all the attention she could,
Fame and boyfriends were all she knew,
Blonde by her thoughts and pretty by face,
Laces and nerds were beyond her league,
Heels and make up 1 inch thick was all she used,
She was fake and poisoned her body with the surgeries,
Tears? Didn't really cry that often,
Tears rushed down her face only when the moon was blue.

this made
me cry. we at one time in our lives try to do this and think it is normal
and then learn we don't need any of it or anyone approval or
acceptances some times it is a phase we get over and know we
are a natural beauty and know god is only one we need approval
and acceptance from because he defines us and all this really makes me
think of the fake things of the world and how they lie to us tell us
it is ok and normal to act that way I love how you brought this to life. Blessings

loved these lines.

Tears? Didn't really cry that often,
Tears rushed down her fake face only
when the moon was blue.

It's not about someone. Just a random poem. (:

Haha! XD..
there is flair in this. the last line, 'tears rushed down her fake face only when the moon was blue' is cool, you abandoned the rhyme, and end on strength of image and sentiment. Lines like 'Tears?' are tight, cutting.

Cut 'fake' from 'fake face' at end. It's not needed. Fix spelling error 'think'=thick, and tense error 'seeked'=sought (yes, it messes up the rhyme- you can find a new one). I also like the like 'Blonde by her thoughts'. It opens this cultural window into an Americanized girl's brain. Cool, good stuff

Very well written. Fine example of new and modern life style. Good view on fast wheels. Love to read it.

Thank you SSADD. It is. (:
I have a friend who is a bit like that. She seeks attention from all guys even if they have a girl friend. She still flirts with them.

Loved the poem, nicely written.

Kaze~ :-D

All good. :-)
It is sad the crap we put ourselves through because society claims it is the norm.
