The Wishing Well.

The Wishing Well.

A Poem by Simran Kewlani

Standing by the side of a wishing well,
Wishing for a life not hell,
Swishing round the game of life,
No knife, no blade,
Laying on the green grass,
Wishing for nice,

Hoping for good,
Hoping to be as strong as wood,

Walking on a rainy night,
Realizing the loneliness and isolation I suffer,

Unknown and unwanted she was,
Knows that she is hated,
For her face, race and colour forever,
Have no friends till the end of never,

Hoping for a life not hell,
She laid under the green grass forever.

Beautifully written poem, the story of a lonely girl and her feelings are described perfectly in this poem. The thing I love about this poem is the repetitive use of "Hope" and "Wish". It shows that the girl still has hope in her of a better future in all this problem still there is hope and that is strong message.
God bless

That is so sad… i know some people just feel they do not fit in and are all alone in this world… I have had moments of that myself…. very nicely written.
