White Wine Serenades

White Wine Serenades

A Poem by Skylar Lighten

She said I'm out of line,

Yet her presence lingers in my mind.

In dreams, she's still mine,

Each sip of wine, a taste of love so fine

She dances through my thoughts,

A reminder of what I've lost.

In echoes of her voice.

Our faults resurface, no choice.

Like our white wine serenades,

Moments lost in amber shades.

She blossoms like a delicate flower,

A vision of love's potential power.

Yet she remains elusive, not mine,

The unattainable, divine.
