Teenage Makeup Girl

Teenage Makeup Girl

A Poem by sleepingsun1

If I could pluck every star for thee

And make them in to a radiant cloak

To hide thine self from all sight and all who see

Those clothes of yours that have been soaked

In hidden tears in quiet nights

My love, I would clothe you in the light.

For only I can know the truth of a girl

Who cakes on masks every day

Who’s self appears all but whose soul curls

At every whisper and every May

Queen’s words that come from sweet faces

With forked tongues and false cases.
