Chimera

Chimera

A Poem by T. Wes Smith

Building up, deep within, anger, uncontrolled, swarms of heat overcome me.

All I want, all I need is synergy amongst us, yet you push me against that grain.

All I want, all I need, peace and love, let me remember how much I love life.

Like a tot, a child, uncontrollable, throw your fit, belligerence and anger.

For what, for nothing, you unleash your anger against us all

Don’t you know this isn’t the way to make friends?

Pushed, poked and prodded, you’re provoking the chimera within me.

I’m doing all I can, to steer out of the storm, only for you to set me back on course.

This isn’t intelligent, don’t mistake my kindness for weakness.

When all I want, all I need, peace and love, let me remember how much I love life.

Its building up, deep within, this anger approached, can’t let it in, let me be, let me go, you don’t know what you do, this will not end well for you.

Please I beg you, let me be, don’t push the demons out of me, this will not end well for you.

All I want, all I need is synergy amongst us, yet you push me against that grain.

All I want, all I need is peace and love, let me remember how much I love life.

I will do all that I can, to calm the chimera from deep inside me.
