Move On.

Move On.

A Poem by T. Wes Smith

I need to find my way back, to the life that I belong

Please someone tell me that, it isn’t too late, it isn’t too late.

How can we find our way back, and get a new start

Please someone tell me that, I don’t need this anymore, that I don’t need this anymore

Chorus:

How did we get to where we are?

Our feelings for each other we cannot escape.

I hope you know what you’re doing to me.

Cause every time you move on, I lose a part of me.

Of all the things I've done, over all the things you’ve done

It isn’t an excuse, for what your doin’ to me, what your doin’ to me

And why can’t I think clearly, when I’m near you, I cannot seem to get ahold of me, of me

Chorus:

How did we get to where we are?

Our feelings for each other we cannot escape.

I hope you know what you’re doing to me.

Cause every time you move on, I lose a part of me.

I was so much better on my own, why did you have to come here.

I’m so much better all alone, why can’t you leave me to my own devices now.

How did we get to where we are?

Our feelings towards each other you’ve escaped.

Do you even know what you’ve done to me?

And now that you’ve moved on, I lost a part of me, I lost a part of me.
