Sleep

haha, wrote this for your contest Sophie! :D hope others join too!

My head is ringing
Sounds are blurring
My feeling is obscuring

Sounds fading
Lights shading
Feeling dying

I can only hear your voice
You say it is going to be Okay
You tell me to stay awake
You tell me to hold on

I am sorry to leave you
I can hold on no longer
I am slipping into a world
of  darkness

I am dying
I will not survive

You know it
I know it
We can not help it

So with that
I think to you:

Goodnight and goodbye
My love

I will see you again
When you sleep for the last time
 Now I have to
Sleep

wow this is so interesting, i was constantly switching my frame of mind from both eternal sleep (i.e. death) to the sleep of a child who cannot say awake long enough to enjoy the time with the family.

it really strikes me hard in these following lines:
"You tell me to stay awake
you tell me to hold on

I am sorry to leave you
I can hold on no longer
I am slipping into a world
of darkness

I am dying
I will not survive

you know it
I know it
We can not help it"

this just pulls my heart strings!
