poem about a girl who has a best friend that no longer wants to be friends. has nothing to do with me and my bff. We are still good and tight! ;)

Aren't we supposed
to be friends?
the best of friends?

i thought we were
best friends forever
how could I be so wrong?

I thought that I
 was good enough
to be your friend

am I now not cool enough?
am I now worthless?
am I?

you say it is me

who ruined our friendship

ME!

 

Now you
are not even yourself

why did you change?

 

you don't act like you used to

you don't look like you used to

you aren't nice like you used to be

 

It isn't my fault

It can't be my fault

No, it is YOUR fault

 

You changed

you didn't want to

be friends

 

no, that is not right either

It is nobody's fault

we just aren't alike anymore

 

 so even if you aren't

friends with me

I will always be friends

with you, I promise

Wow, this is quite amazing. I actually have a poem sort of like this one. So I definitely know how this feels. You captured the feelings of losing a best friend really well (even though it's not happening to you) I always use to ask myself why? What happened to us? We were supposed to be best friends forever!! I prayed to God about it for months. I guess my prayer was answered. Since, my best friend and I are closer than before. :)

very nice showing the confusion when you lose a friend… blaming them… then blaming yourself… then vice versa again. Great job capturing what goes on in one's mind when confronted with this issue.
