Candystore Tramp

A Poem by Smelly Feet
"

Baby's first poem

"
I didn't get a Valentine's this year
am I not as sweet as a rose?

Am I cheap - not as precious as a gemstone,
as lovely as rhyme, as soft as a teddybear?

What possible good have I done,
to not be futile in the eyes of lovers, of serpents?

To scrub clean tiles. To remember a train.
To not be deceived that the rain should awaken nature.
