corrupted/ what they don't tell you

corrupted/ what they don't tell you

A Poem by Amber burkett

do you love me?
will you always?
shall you be my baby till time shall end?
they say what you don't know won't hurt you,
but what they don't tell you is that when you do find out it hurts twice as bad as it shouldda have.
and they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger but after something like that your left vulnerable as heck.

kick you when you're down.
pushen you around.
your hearts pumping the blood but your bleeding it out.
eyes growing sorrow.
and you won't be alive tomorrow.

you want to scream you want to shout.
you gotta let things out.
they look at you like you are crazy as your heart's going cold
this is really getting old.

looking around in the dark
you feel useless
light just won't show up.
you are alone.
things are about to be blown.

what have they done
