Friendship

Friendship

A Poem by smurfett

Sometimes I'm afraid and don't know why
I just want to hang my head and cry.
Am I going insane, I often ask
Why am I here, what is my task?
I believe we all feel this way at times
We laugh out loud, we speak in rhymes.
The voice in our head, we fear that it's real
We answer it just to seal the deal.
But somehow everyday we struggle through
Doing the things we need to do
We count on the ones we love so much
To keep us on track, to keep us in touch.
What would we do without support from our friends?
We'd fear the future and welcome the end
So keep them close, tell them how much you care
Let them know you appreciate them being there.
And count your blessings everyday
Take the time to stop and pray
Be thankful for the gift of friends
If true-blue they'll be there til the end.

About
I am so moved by the vast differences in people and what inspires them to put pen to paper. Everyone has a story to tell. I hope my words can please and inspire those around me as well... more..
