Mama's Little Man

Mama's Little Man

A Poem by smurfett

Little Johnny, he's only two
Not old enough yet to tie his shoes
He wants to help, such a little man
His goals are high, he has big plans.
Throughout the day, he's mama's little king
They laugh and play, they dance and sing
Mud pies and dandelions, the gifts never stop
For our time together, my chores I will drop.
One day soon, he'll be a young man
And mom won't fit into his daily plans
He'll have his own friends, he'll have his own life,
And before you know it, he'll soon take a wife.
You'll be proud of the man that you've raised from a child
His nights and his weekends won't be so wild
He's now a young man with a life all his own
These moments you'll treasure even after they're grown.
