I'm sorry my friend for the loss of your son

I can't describe how I feel

Knowing that no matter what I say

My words will never heal.

God knew our children before they were born

He gave them to us as a gift

Fully knowing the impact they'd have

For our hearts and our spirits they'd lift.

My heart aches for you when I think of your loss

There's now such a void in your life

Until the day that you see him again

There's going to be sadness and strife.

As hard as it seems, keep in mind there's a plan

The answers won't be found in this poem

But know one day you'll be joined once again

When our Father calls you to come home.
