Special Time

Special Time

A Poem by Lisa J "The Rose"

SPECIAL TIME

Hence a fallen branch

came crashing down,

upon my fallen soul,

the pain was insurmountable,

I held him so accountable.

I thought of the time,

when I was so involved,

with someone whose eyes,

only saw me.

The sea breezes were the

best, and the

smell of salt,

seagulls crying for

dinner,

ships in the distance,

dolphins at play,

all made sweeter,

by you,

until the sea left me cold,

feeling sad and blue.

I thought of the special time,

we had together,

just a whisper of fallen breezes,

that drifted to the ground,

lay there for a time,

and died silently,

in the green green grass.

Fairy dust and magic seemed

to follow us everywhere,

until the day,

the fallen branch came

crashing down,

upon me.

The metaphoric imagery of the crashing branch brings an immediate reaction to the reader. I was swept on with your poignantly descriptive words and could feel the heart wrenching realisation of a love lost.

A brilliant write!

Nice Lisa, I like it. There are some beautiful words you used there. They all relegate to the sea, through which you express your feelings in that one. Cool!
