I text you frequently

You never text back

 

I called you once, twice, three times

You never pick up

And if you do

I'm left talking on the other line

While you do what?

Play your little video games?

Watch your little T.V. shows?

Go online to your little ninja games?

 

I hope you know I love you

With all of my heart

Because that's just what family does

I sent you a birthday gift

 

Did you even bother to say thank-you?

Did you even get it?

 

Why is it, if I love you so

That all you do is ignore me

Am I that horrible?

Am I that annoying?

Do I bother you that much?

So you just ignore me?

We use to be the best of friends

We use to be the best of cousins

 

But now you're different

With all of your game speak

 

I remember

When you hated the little bad things

Like swearing or talking back to others

I know now that it's part of your daily routine

 

What happened to you?

What happened to my cousin?

What will happen to us

Now that I know that you won't even pick me up?

 

Leave me hanging

Leave me without a 'thank you'

Leave me with swear words

Leave me without love

 

But I have you know

That I will never

Ever

 

Leave you hanging

Leave without a thanks

Leave you left with my anger

And most importantly

Leave you without love
