Lace

Lace

A Poem by marie

You can’t see me,I’m not here

No matter what you think, No, I’m not near.

Look at my smile! Gaze on my face!

Ignore white lines, that cover like Lace.

Forget the dark shadows that cover my past,

All those insults like a net cast.

Brush away those side glances

The world’s full of forever chances

Little red tendrils on porcelain skin,

Wipe them away, look I smile again!

Ignore distant thoughts, I promise I’m fine.

No, little whispers don’t cross a thin line.

Such a fine gift to be covered in Lace

Take a bow, spin around, face the world with grace.

Don’t you worry, I’m not here.

You need not see, that Lace you fear.

Forget the dark shadows that cover my past....Like us all, judge on who we have become, not who we were. This has a beautifully soft feel to it, whisper like, of being reborn or maybe just growing back the confidence to speak out once more.
Laid out really well and wonderfully written. Thank you for sharing.
