Grace

Grace

A Poem by Soren

The sunrise of hope dispelling all darkness,

dispersing the mists of fog

Glistening dew, prisms of oily color,

morning bird calls echoing off verdant hills

Breath deep the crisp air

and let the burden of care

fall from your spent shoulders

Drink serenity and peace,

lift high your eyes to the cyan skies,

give thanks and receive release

Although grace is a religious term, I would call this one more spiritual than formally religious. The speaker has apparently undergone an experience that has brought him out of a grim state of mind. We are given no specifics, but the relief is genuine, calling forth gratitude. Not all profound spiritual experiences take place within the bounds of formal religion.

Each new sunrise is a new beginning filled with hope.
when a day is bad, we must remember that so that all hope is not lost.

Thanks Jacob I agree, as long as there is life there is hope.
Sometimes we do have to give thanks for all the abundant nature that nourishes us and behold the beauty of it all....we must lessen our burdens and enjoy all there is to smell , touch , hear and see all around us...
this is a lovely poem with an important message...
