The candle

The candle

A Poem by Soren

The candle has burnt, a wax shell

a lesson learned dead men don't tell

smoke, now clear air

illumination from despair

Flame in a hangman's dance

rolling wax tears, fall in balance

swirling time, charred, used

ethereal light from those abused

Prometheus unchained

desires unrestrained

spark of light flashes

the phoenix raises from ashes

those abuse will rise...and the abusers will find themselves chained to their own missteps...
The meek shall inherit the earth...then, where will those who have put down for centuries...where will they be? Their candles will burn so brightly...and it will be like the ending of "Pay it Forward"--
"Calling all Angels"----
