My heart belongs to you

Fear of rejection makes me the shadow of what I was in your life.

Today I want to tell you, I love you

 Despite the distance and everything

That separates us my heart belongs to you,

 

Nobody and nothing can get you out of my mind

You may never read this

Or maybe someday you will remember and read here,

Realizing that I never, ever got far away from you

 

I'll keep looking and yet leaving our memories

Captured in this space just for you... 

Just wanted to be one of the reasons of your smile

Maybe a little thought from your mind in the morning,

Or maybe a souvenir before bedtime. 

 

I would just be a fleeting image in front of your eyes, 

Perhaps a voice whispering in your ear, 

Or maybe a light touch on your lips. 

Just wanted to be someone whom you would like to have on your side

Maybe not all day, but in a way or another, live in you...

 

One day life hit me so hard 

I learned to resist all the agony I feel in my soul

One day I got lied to, and that hurt me

Then I learned to always go to the truth, 

Although the truth hurts. 

 

Occasionally it is necessary to turn the page and start from scratch, 

Because the best warrior is not the one which always succeeds? 

But the one that returns without fear of battle....

While reading this I feel the unextressed feelings of my soulmate.....

This was good Dash, I especially liked the second to last stanza when it came to discussing the truth. Yes it hurts, but you have to go there. I mean obviously tact is something we must use, not hurting people intentionally is important...but truth...always, you are wise in what you say.
