Seventy Days

Seventy Days

A Poem by Spectre
"

I think I'm over it.

"
I have a thousand words to say
After seventy long days
dark and gloomy is my path
I feel sadness and I feel wrath
But at the end of the day, I laugh
Because you're now in the past
I used to feel so betrayed
Now the grey has faded away
The stars shine through the mist
The scars vanish from my wrist
I had lost myself for so long
Was what I did really so wrong?
I ask myself every day
I hope, I wish, I sing, I pray
Why the hell couldn't I stay?
But here we are after seventy days
We've both gone our separate ways
I will always remember you as my best friend
Always, from now until the end.

This is so honest. And you capture emotion so accurately. When we feel too much sadness and pain we cant help but laugh, whether it be a throw your head back and laugh or from a more satirical perspective. Thank you for sharing!
