Mother

Mother

A Poem by sweetspicedgherkins
"

A poem about a mother/child relationship

"
Mother, mother, where are you?
For my knees are skinned, and my face is bruised.
Mother, mother, where are you?
I need a hand to hold, it's scary on my own.
Mother, mother, where are you?
My body is changing and I'm growing up fast.
Mother, mother, where are you?
New school, new rules, I don't know what to do.
Mother, mother, where were you?
My worlds gone cold and I am numb.
Mother, mother, I just needed your love.
I faced the world and it wasn't kind.
Mother, mother, I'm sorry I'm bruised, I'm sorry I'm broken.
But mother, mother, maybe if you had loved me then maybe just maybe I wouldn't be.
