You Hold The Key

You Hold The Key

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

These are lyrics [unfinished, but meaningful non the less to me]

"
The things I long to be,
You're the one that stands in my way
I just wish you could see,
I take things each and everyday
Yet you seem to hold the key,
I let you have the final say
Of how the love I hold for you is something only me,
Can have the power to introspect and ultimately be
You're the one I love for now and always my sadden friend of misery,
I shall always leave you with the final steps of what is meant for me.

I was once told by a not so sweet Aunt. She told me to live your own life. Don't worry about Grandma and family. I didn't listen and came back and was the only one with her in her death. In her life she raised me with love and kindness. I gave her what I could in her last years. I wouldn't trade one minute. Your poem is powerful. When we do things for love. The time is not wasted. A excellent poem.

I'm thinking this is a love poem with a bit of pain added in. But in the end love is important as long as its not hurtful and damaging to the other.
