Another chapter laid to rest,
As this was per your request
I never saw the things that you did,
Perhaps that was a good thing kid
How I see the youth in you,
As the age grows within me too
So know that I have inspiration from a source,
Please do not take this uncharted course
I've learned the hard way so many times,
I do not wish that for you or any of my kind
Lay your head down now to sleep,
I'll lay with you and count the sheep
As we hold hands until death creeps upon us,
Our love took us through this life and now takes our last breath as it must.
