Fragile Moments

Fragile Moments

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

Can I write a sonnet for you?
Or maybe a song?
Poem?
Do I have your permission?

Sit still
I need to focus
I need you to be in the here and now
To capture this moment so supposedly perfect
To escape your dramatic lessons

Don't move
You're ugly when you lack composure
Moments like this are too gorgeous to pass up
At least in contrast to your restlessness

Keep quiet
Times like this is when we're supposed to be happy
So shut up and keep calm
I want to draw you out in unmoving words
Before you interrupt the vulnerable silence

Step lightly
You make these moments fragile
They're so priceless and rare
I need just a few more moments

Can I seize you in this moment?
Just for now?
Please?
Are you willing to allow it?
