My Angel

a song to someone who means alot to me

 

My journey of self-doubt led me to hard times and struggles.

I stumbled over them and hit the ground.

You were there to lift me up because we all lose our way now and then.

Times get stormy but it doesn’t rain forever.

Tough times don’t last, but tough people do

You’ve helped me prove I’m one of those people.

 

I learned from you that giving up is no choice.

You showed me the strength I never thought I had.

With every imperfection, you showed me I was beautiful.

You are like my mother. You’re my best friend.

My angel.

 

I’m grateful for all of those times you opened my eyes.

It helped me stand up on my own two feet.

You showed me I was given this life because I’m strong enough to live it.

I no longer fit it, but stand out.

I can now forget the past, but hold its memories

And keep moving forward.
