Sturtle

Sturtle

A Poem by Starfish Enya
"

The first poem in the series of children's poetry I have started writing.

"
The starfish and the turtle apart the world was awfully mean,
so they decided to stick together just like a good team
and they each had different skills and very big dreams.

They had to work together so that they could both achieve.
They shared a bond you would have had to see to believe.

As you would have had to be there to even begin to see,
these two navigating the big and scary bright blue sea.

A sturtle is such an unusual pair, each left alone to face earth’s despair,
but they work so well together because each one chooses to care.

One was in control of operations and
the other in charge of preparations.

One like the pink inside of your brain,
and another green like moss on terrain.

This is really fun StarfishEnya - I love the line 'you would have had to have been there' - and the 'preparations/operations' line too. It teaches kids about being different and about co-operating and it has a sturtle !!! or a turtish lol
