A Poem by starmozie

beautiful music,
touches my soul.
the tears,always the tears
memories of those who are no longer...
a touch, a smile,
 laughter
you
will never hear again
 our heart is aches
trying to grasp what little we can
trying to see and feel and
reaching for every thought, grabbing hold,
afraid to let go
afraid to forget
and in time'
the pain eases and
we learn to go on
each day gets easier
and harder.
and then we smile again
and laugh again
and love again.

and if we are lucky,
we might even be happy.

 today
i am thinking about opportunities wasted
people we should appreciate
and love
and instead of always waiting
waiting for things to be perfect before we take a chance.
if we dont take risks,we dont get the rewards.
why are people so afraid to take that risk?
why are we only ready
when it is too late?
why cant we just grab on
and enjoy the ride?
we never know when it will stop. we never know what we missed
untill it is no longer there
untill we get a phone call
 and through the sobs
the pain
we hear
im sorry.....
it is too late.
and we  think to ourselves
what do you mean ? how can that be?
we were just talking.
 we were waiting..
waiting for the perfect time.
the perfect opportunity,
the perfect words, and now
it will never be.
except in our dreams
and memories
and
it is too late...
