I did this for a Final exam, and it turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

Tik-Toc

Now:

The clock’s rhythm constantly beats

Consuming the past.

2,

5,

10 seconds pass,

Never to be found again.

Thoughts turn into

Nightmares,

Leaving me with more questions

Than answers.

The

‘Who’,

‘What’, ‘When’

‘Where’,

‘Why’, and ‘How’

All blind me,

Allowing me to only

Focus on the past and future.

And neglect the present.

5 years from now:

Time still beats

At

A constant rhythm,

Consuming time,

Memories,

And the past.

And now,

2,

5,

And 10 weeks

Flash by in

A blink of an eye.

The things that

Once

Haunted me,

Causing me to live in

Fear,

No longer

Restrict me from

Pursuing my

Dreams, hopes, and wishes.

Answers pile,

One on top another,

Allowing me to

Finally

Focus on

The past and future,

While still living in the present.
