My friend dared me to write a poem about "shoes". So here you go

When I walk by you

In my beat up shoes

I remember how we felt

The way we kissed

I truly miss

How you made my heart melt

Now that we're through

All I think of is you

And how I wish we were together

Now instead

I'll go ahead

And wear new shoes to make it better
