Taking away the Reigns

No matter how much we fight the world we will always be the ones who get bruised in the end!! I tried so hard and got so far but in the end it didn't matter.

Vicious repeat episodes taunting our very being

as we venture deeper inside to begin seeing

that every path is blocked by a prophet on earth

to protect the chosen ones honoured at birth

Watching and waiting as our list gets shorter

a wave of sadness washes over us like mortar

It chips away as our foundations lose their display

rebuilding this would cause too much dismay

so we start a new from the ground we look up

knowing someday soon we will find some good luck

United we stand but in this world we fall

coming together could save us all.

Some fights are just bigger than us. It can feel quite deflating but if we get over that it can ignite a fire to rebuild, lead change. Good write.
