Murky Creek

Murky Creek

A Poem by Eli Blayze
"

I found a small creek running through a set of woods near my house. While others werer repulsed by it, I felt it's inner beauty and was inspired to write this.

"

Murky creek in the afternoon,

How I wish to follow you.

You're water so dark,

Your banks overgrown.

Murky creek, without further ado,

I find all of the beauty hidden in you.

From your marshy marshes,

To your misqueito virus.

Murky creek.

I love you.

Everything has beauty, though sometimes most people just don't see it. Cute poem :) I like the phrase "marshy marshes".

Well, good rhyme scheme and everything. I particularly do not write poems about nature, but I am biased. Good job in expressing what you love in clarity and art. Keep on keeping on with improvement each and every time.
