Petty Tyrants

Massive evil and corruption

Boils all our blood

We look around

We look at the ground

We look up to the sky

We feel that we are drowning

In a hopeless kind of world

When evil starts attacking culture

You know you've won the war

We think that we can only change

The world we live in now

By having incredible influence

Ideas of grandeur

But change looks like the art you make

The conversations you have every day

Spreading truth like wildfire

Why do you think they care so much?

About everything we say

About everything we create

About all that we can inspire

In a single given day

So take your swords of truth

And fight the evil tyrants

Who seek to change everything you love

The petty little tyrants

We do not have to be Goliath

To fight the greedy tyrants

Creators born with passion and direction

God-given inspiration

Even as an atheist

God loves you

Gives you purpose

To find common ground with others

In the midst of moral misdirection

They say its for the common good

The line they used in history

Every time they wanted power

They shed a little blood

But lust for power never ends

And nor will their excuses

For petty little tyrants win

If we buy their reasons

But we must draw the line

As common individuals

Every time the line is used

"For the common good"

For in it is the Trojan horse

That rode in Ancient Greece

To foster in the sirens song

The worlds freedom lost

So when you hear the words

"For the common good"

Be wary of the words you hear

They are coming for your thoughts

As evil tries to take control

They lose interest in their own lies

They will soon begin to wave a flag

Of change in your face

We will not bow

You must comply!

We will not bow!

You must say

We cannot usher in this world

I will not comply

I will create

I will inspire others

Creating culture

To root out evil from inside

To rally the troops of soulful hearts

They see us fighting back

Creatives of this world

Don't stay quiet!

Don't keep your head straight down

They come for us now

The pens with which we write

Desperate attempts to erase

The battle that we fight
